For the last 3 summers, LearnDistrict has run the award winning all-girls game making summer camps through a program called Girls Make Games. Our success in educating young women has motivated us to pursue a larger, inclusive initiative, very much in line with the LearnDistrict mission: making learning accessible.

Today, we're proud to announce LearnDistrict's co-ed game development summer camps program,

The Game Dev Academy

, launching in 5 cities in California. GDA camps are open to kids of all skill levels between the ages of 9-14.

As an educational company, we're committed to empowerment of all youth, and GDA is a big step towards the goal.

GDA's 3 week long summer camps cover all aspects of game development, from programming to animation and audio engineering. Teams of 3-4 will work with a dedicated counselor to put a functional game together. Campers also have the opportunity to interact with industry professionals through speaker visits and exciting field trips to studios like Riot Games, Blizzard, and EA among others.

Dates: M-F July 10-28, 2017

Hours: 10am-4pm (early drop off + late pick up available)

Tuition: $1,500 for 3 weeks
